The 2019 Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (DSE) results were released. After declining in previous years, the number of candidates has stabilized, with approximately 56,000 candidates attending day schools. Around 42.2% of day-school candidates met the minimum admission requirements set by the eight major universities. Overall, the supply-demand balance for university places remains stable, and competitive pressure is moderate.
