Let’s go find autumn together.
On Friday evening, the setting sun gilded the campus in a layer of golden light, and a faintly sweet fragrance of osmanthus drifted through the air.
Under the guidance of Teacher Zhu, the students of Kuangyuan’s DSE class have embarked on a special journey of exploration— The Beauty of Autumn in Kuang Garden This is not only an extension of the classroom—it’s also a beautiful encounter where nature, art, and language learning come together.
Wandering through the campus, I unexpectedly ran into autumn.
The students divided into four groups and, armed with notebooks and curiosity, set off on a fall-finding journey along the campus paths.
The subtle differences in color between the golden osmanthus and the sweet osmanthus, the graceful trajectories of falling leaves, the remarkable sight of green and purple fruits coexisting on the same tree, and even the varying ripening times of the fruits—these delicate observations imbue autumn’s beauty with a tangible depth and richness. At this moment, observation becomes a true skill, and our thinking finds new extension within nature.
Using poetry as a medium, let language flourish in autumn.
Back in the classroom, the four groups sat together in a circle. Write about autumn as they see it in English. 。
The subtle fragrance of osmanthus is woven into poetic lines, and the paths of falling leaves are frozen in rhyme. As one little poem after another is softly recited, the classroom simultaneously echoes with youthful voices and the crisp scent of autumn.
This class has marked a shift from “knowledge input” to “creative output.” Here, language is no longer just abstract symbols—it has become imbued with warmth, vivid imagery, and emotional expression.
Natural Revelation: Learning to Respect in Diversity
At the end of the event, a few words from Teacher Zhu prompted the students to reflect deeply:
“There are differences in nature, just as each person has a different rhythm and path of growth. By learning to respect these differences, we can better understand the world—and also better understand ourselves.”
From the gradual change in leaf color to the ripening cycle of fruits, these seemingly ordinary natural phenomena all convey the same truth—
Everyone has their own season.

From Campus to the World: Building Diverse Learning Experiences
In our DSE program, we not only emphasize academic achievement but also place great importance on expanding critical thinking, respecting cultural diversity, and fostering a passion for learning.
This kind of extracurricular exploration activity is also one of the learning approaches that Blue Ribbon Education places great importance on:
• Interdisciplinary integration Cleverly combines English writing, literary appreciation, and nature observation.
• Team collaboration : Stimulate communication and creativity through group-based creation.
• International Perspective Cultivate cultural understanding in your daily life and prepare yourself to step onto the global stage.
Our students continue to grow through diverse experiences—they’re not just learning knowledge; they’re also learning how to understand the world.
“The boundaries of the classroom are actually far broader than we imagine.”
On this autumnal journey to discover beauty, students not only reaped the colors of fall but also came to truly understand the essence of learning.
This is the DSE learning model we’re committed to building—making learning profound and fostering growth with warmth.
