The application process for the Joint University Programmes Admissions System (JUPAS) for the 2026 academic year officially opened on October 9, 2025.
The application process for the 2026 Academic Year Joint University Programmes Admissions System (JUPAS) officially commenced on October 9, 2025. The nine participating institutions—comprising the eight subsidized universities and Hong Kong Metropolitan University—have updated their course information and minimum entry requirements. Several universities, including the University of Hong Kong and the Chinese University of Hong Kong, have reiterated that the core subject requirements for 2025 admissions will remain “332A+33” or “332A+22” (depending on the institution), and emphasized that achieving a “satisfactory” grade in the Civic Education and Social Development subject is a mandatory requirement. Each institution has also announced new score conversion mechanisms: for instance, a grade of 5** is now equivalent to 8.5 points. Students are encouraged to refer to the latest scoring tables.
